Job Description - Site Manager


REPORTS TO: Residential Program Administrator



SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, On call as needed                            FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt  



POSITION SUMMARY:  


The ALC Site Manager is responsible for providing care for and supervision for residents, as well as staff. Must be knowledgeable in emergency procedures and provide oversight of the day-to-day operations. The ALC Site Manager is required to complete all documentation which may include utilizing computer programs and/or hard copy systems. The ALC Site Manager is responsible for assisting with implementing accountability standards for clients in the program and staff reporting to them. Organizational policies and procedures as they relate to client and staff supervision will also be a point of emphasis for the ALC Site Manager. These duties apply to all assigned Revive Ministries, Inc. (Revive) programs.  



GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 



  1. Direct Reports include Shift Supervisors and Lead Shift Supervisors. The ALC Site Manager provides leadership and oversight to clients, shift supervisors, and the shift supervisor leads. This includes completing performance evaluations on direct reports and partnering with the Residential Program Administrator on corrective measures as needed.  

  2. Maintain a global view of the programming and operations of the Adam Lowe Center. Assist the residential program administrator with overarching issues that have organizational-wide and overall client satisfaction implications.

  3. Complete and/or improve processes and procedures along with Residential Program Administrator.

  4. Educate clients in all aspects of the house policies and procedures and supervise client activities and programming.

  5. Schedule and meet with direct reports on a weekly basis for documented 1v1 and ongoing performance improvement.

  6. Maintain knowledge and understanding of all Revive policies and rules.

  7. Complete all assigned duties and tasks in a timely manner.

  8. Collaborate with other departments to best serve clients and staff within Adam Lowe Center.

  9. Respond to escalated clients or staff and take responsibility for discharges or difficult situations.

  10. Ensure time sheets for all direct reports are correct before submitting them to HR.

  11. The ALC Site Manager must have a strong understanding of duties for all direct reports as they are responsible to train new staff.

  12. All other duties as assigned.



BACKGROUND/ EDUCATION:  



  1. Highschool Diploma or G.E.D. preferred. 

  2. Background in or be familiar and willing to work with men struggling with substance use issues.  

  3. Preferred one year of full-time direct practice (volunteer or paid) in a peer recovery support or similar environment.

  4. Kentucky state driver’s license with acceptable MVR per Revive insurance is required.



QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENT: 


The ALC Site Manager will direct the activities of clients and staff throughout the week. This involves working with them to ensure they are consistently putting their best foot forward.  A calm temperament with the ability to critically think and make rational decisions is key to success for the ALC Site Manager. SKILLS REQUIRED: 



  1. Must have organizational and time management skills.

  2. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 

  3. Maintain appropriate boundaries with clients as outlined in the Code of Conduct/Ethics policy, especially as it relates to dual relationships with clients, former clients, and notification requirements.

  4. The knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.  

  5. Basic computer skills required.  

  6. Physical Considerations:  While performing the duties of the job the employee is required to stand, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, ascend and descend stairs, talk or listen in normal conversation levels and lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.  



WORKING CONDITIONS: 


Physical Demands:  


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  


The employee may be required to exert 21 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 11 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Job duties also require about 6 or more hours of intermittent standing or walking in an 8-hour workday. Sitting may be required only intermittently and occasionally.   Stooping is required frequently.   


Environmental Conditions:  


The employee will work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in hot and humid weather or very frigid temperatures, depending on the season, to supervise clients in their activities.  This may result in bodily discomfort. The house itself is open and ventilated well with central heating and air conditioning.  The person may work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.  


Mental Demands:  


There are a number of daily deadlines associated with this position, which may cause stress to some individuals.  The position must deal with the clients and staff daily on a variety of issues. Including disciplinary action, and the hiring and firing of employees. 



 WORK EXPECTATIONS: 



  1. Minimum of 40 hours per week.

  2. Must be able to work well with other staff and clients.

  3. Some travel required.

  4. Some after hours communication/supervision will be required
