We are seeking experienced Site Managers to serve as the on-site execution leads for large-scale automation and material handling installation projects. The Site Manager is the primary boots-on-the-ground representative of the project team, responsible for full-time on-site presence throughout project installation and commissioning.
This is not a coordinator role — the Site Manager is an active, accountable leader who ensures that everything happening on the job site is accurate, documented, and communicated clearly back to project leadership. This role is critical to the successful delivery of complex automation projects in distribution, fulfillment, and parcel-sortation environments.
● Maintain full-time on-site presence throughout the duration of project installation and commissioning
● Serve as the on-site representative for the Project Manager, acting as the eyes and ears of project leadership at the job site
● Verify all incoming shipments, equipment, counts, serial numbers, and materials against project documentation
● Monitor and report on site conditions, installation progress, and work quality
● Communicate accurate and timely project status updates to the Project Manager and project leadership team
● Confirm that on-site work is progressing in alignment with project scope, schedule, and quality standards
● Coordinate with trades, subcontractors, and client site teams to ensure smooth project execution
● Identify and escalate issues, discrepancies, or risks to project leadership immediately
● Support project closeout activities, including punch list resolution, documentation, and client handover
● Ensure site safety standards and protocols are followed at all times
● Demonstrated experience in a site management, field project management, or construction/installation management role
● Strong background in material handling, sortation, conveyor systems, parcel operations, distribution center (DC) operations, or similar industrial automation environments
● Proven ability to manage on-site operations, coordinate multiple trades, and maintain accountability across a job site
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting to remote project leadership
● High attention to detail, particularly in verifying shipments, equipment, and materials
● Ability to operate independently in a field environment and make sound judgments under pressure
● Willingness and ability to maintain heavy travel and extended site assignments
● Experience as a Site Manager or Project Manager in material handling, automation, intralogistics, fulfillment, parcel-sortation, or conveyor/sortation installation environments
● Familiarity with large-scale automated system installations, including mechanical, controls, and electrical work streams
● Prior experience working directly with or in support of a Project Manager on multi-disciplinary installation projects
● Background in distribution center (DC) build-out, system integration, or automation commissioning
