SSI is seeking an experienced Site Representative Systems Engineer in Tucson, AZ.
The ideal Site Representative will demonstrate a proactive approach, actively engaging in a mission-critical customer environment. Extensive experience in systems engineering and manufacturing is essential for success in this role. The candidate will collaborate closely with the customer and team members to support the acquisition, integration, testing, qualification, deployment, and operation of mission systems transitioning into production.
\nKey Responsibilities:
Participate in developer reviews, meetings, and boards (e.g., technical interchange meetings, manufacturing readiness reviews, change management) to maintain ongoing situational awareness, providing updates and addressing concerns with the program office.
Oversee progress on corrective actions, resolve issues on problem closures, manage change board items, and address obsolescence and source challenges.
Track hardware pedigrees and engage in hardware verification processes, including first article inspections, functional configuration audits, and physical configuration audits.
Monitor lab and manufacturing areas, including build schedules, progress, and any issues that could impact project timelines.
Benchmark best practices against the developer's processes to ensure continuous improvement.
Evaluate and assess the developer’s readiness and progress toward production transition.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Engineering with at least 14 years of experience with Technical requirements development, systems engineering, and manufacturing in the design, production, integration, and testing of terrestrial and space systems. Requirements verification and validation.
Clearance Requirement
Must have an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for SCI eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation program (if applicable).
Must be willing to be nominated for access to Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Programs and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.
