Site Superintendent

We are partnering with our client, D&S Elite Construction, in search of a Site Superintendent in the Douglassville market.

The Field Supervisor’s primary role is to ensure daily jobsite and field activities are completed by subcontractors and in

house staff in the absence of the Project Manager.  The Field Supervisor should ensure that all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, effectively, timely and meet quality standards.  This is a hands-on position and will require a tool belt to be worn some of the time.  

This position will report directly to the Project Manager.   

• Thorough understanding and daily utilization of the Buildertrend application including Daily Logs, To-Do’s, photographs, receipt submission and scheduling 
• Daily communication with project team to review schedules, progress, revisions, issues, requirements, delays, etc. 
• Maintain, within Buildertrend, a Daily Log of project progress including photographs detailing work completed 
• Attend and participate in jobsite meetings with Project Managers, subcontractors, and clients to fully understand project details 
• Implement safety and quality guidelines and standards on jobsites 
• Collaborate with subcontractors, owners, and company staff to determine project needs 
• Thorough understanding of each project scope to ensure subcontractors and company staff are completing all tasks for which they are responsible 
• Supervise the company’s field carpenters, unskilled and semi-skilled workers and subcontractors and provide constructive feedback 
• Mentor fellow employees in a professional manor to ensure growth and development 
• Perform jobsite activities and carpentry duties, as required, to ensure project deadlines are being met.  Activities could include finish carpentry, rough carpentry, drywall, clean up, etc.   
• Complete jobsite activities that may be time sensitive or require a higher attention to detail than a semi-skilled task 
• Create, assign, and/or complete project punch list activities to ensure full completion of projects. 
• Work directly with Project Managers to create and implement weekly manpower schedule 
• Collaborate with field staff each morning to ensure team members are prepared with proper tools, equipment, and materials. Help ensure a timely departure from the office to the jobsite. 
• Ensure timely receipt and job expense submission from field to office utilizing Buildertrend 

Secondary Responsibilities

• Preparation for upcoming project stages such as material ordering, coordinating deliveries, and staging materials and supplies 
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times.  Company vehicles should be washed once a week and vehicle interiors should always be clean and organized. 
• Schedule and ensure routine company vehicle maintenance is completed (if employee has a company vehicle). 
• Inventory control of supplies, materials, and equipment in our shop. Communicate with Project Manager if materials were used during a project to ensure proper billing.
• Ensure all equipment is being returned in clean and proper working order.
• Know what project company equipment is currently being utilized on.
