Job Description - Site supervisor

Building Roots Co. is a leading construction company that specializes in residential and commercial construction projects. We are currently seeking a Site Supervisor to join our growing team and oversee the successful completion of building projects. The ideal candidate has a background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

Plan and execute construction projects in collaboration with project manager and construction team
Oversee all phases of construction from preparation to completion
Manage construction budget and ensure projects are completed within budget
Supervise and provide guidance to construction crew and subcontractors
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
Participate in regular progress meetings with project manager and provide updates on project status
Review project plans and specifications and ensure all materials and equipment are available
Assist in resolving construction-related issues and recommend solutions
Ensure project deadlines are met and project quality standards are upheld
Maintain accurate project documentation and records
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is progressing according to plans and specifications
Communicate and collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and owners
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years experience in construction management
Proven experience as a site supervisor or similar role
Knowledge of construction practices, techniques, and materials
Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to guide and motivate a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
Proficient in MS Office and project management software
Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed
A degree in construction management or related field is preferred but not required
