Site Survey Technician

As a Site Survey Technician, you will contribute to the site survey department by supporting the execution of various site assessments. While you will work under the guidance of more experienced team members, you will be expected to demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and develop your skills.

Essential Job Functions

• Work from heights, attics, and basements to perform site surveys.


• Measure existing roof dimensions and verify array layouts.


• Document electrical configurations of homes and identify any existing issues.


• Measure and document roof obstructions.


• Use an application-based platform to capture photos and upload them to the project management database.


• Follow organization policies and procedures, including OSHA requirements, and complete OSHA training as required.


• Attend organization, safety, and other training and meetings as required.


• Other duties as assigned by the leadership team.

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.


• A minimum of 1-3 years of experience working on roofs is preferred.


• Proficiency with Google Workspace is preferred.


• Ability to work from ladders, heights, or in confined spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics, or under mobile homes).


• Strong attention to safety and adherence to organizational protocols.


• Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities.


• Flexible availability is required to accommodate customer scheduling needs.


• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.


• Minimum of 3 years of driving experience required, including the ability to operate a vehicle for work-related responsibilities.


• Willingness to complete all steps of the pre-employment screening process.

Physical Demands

• Ability to work in a variety of extreme environmental conditions (e.g., high heat, cold temperatures).


• Must be willing and able to climb ladders, ascend/descend stairs, and work on rooftops of multi-level buildings, as well as within confined spaces such as attics.


• While performing the duties of this role, the employee will regularly be required to speak and hear. The role frequently requires standing, walking, using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, and reaching with hands and arms.


• Must be capable of lifting up to 50-70 pounds.


• The employee will occasionally need to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.


• Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral awareness, perceive depth, and make precise focus adjustments.
