We are seeking a skilled and proactive Site Technician to oversee the electrical and mechanical components of semi-automated parking system installations. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and service calls. While prior experience with mechanical parking structures is not required, a solid background in mechanical or electrical systems will provide a strong foundation for success.
You will be working closely with subcontractors on construction sites and engaging with residents at installation properties. Strong communication skills and the ability to problem-solve in real time are essential. A friendly, professional demeanor is key to providing excellent customer service in this role.
Responsibilities:
Understand and maintain all components of semi- and fully-automated parking systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and install parking system components as needed.
- Conduct tests to ensure the proper functionality of all system elements.
- Educate clients on how to use and maintain parking systems effectively.
- Perform routine maintenance and provide on-site customer support.
- Diagnose system issues and implement effective solutions.
- Order parts and materials required for repairs and installations.
- Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate technical issues and repair solutions clearly to customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and property management teams.
- Be available for on-call service requests from users and building management.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience working with mechanical and/or electrical equipment.
- Relevant experience in automobile, motorcycle, aviation mechanics, or similar fields is highly valued.
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Flexibility to work with changing schedules and varying hours.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency with basic mechanical hand tools, multimeters, and other relevant equipment.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as bending, lifting heavy equipment, and working in confined spaces.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- A customer-focused attitude with the ability to engage professionally with both clients and contractors.
Additional Information:
This role involves on-site work and regular interaction with customers and subcontractors. The Site Technician will be required to respond promptly to service requests and perform maintenance in a timely manner.
