We're currently seeking a Lift Mechanic Level 2 to join our Mountain Operations department. This is an essential role that combines hands-on mechanical work, teamwork, and a strong focus on safety. Whether you're wrenching in the terminal or climbing towers at dawn, your work helps deliver a safe and reliable experience for every guest on the mountain.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Lift Mechanic Level 2, you'll work directly on our fleet of aerial and surface lifts, supporting both routine maintenance and on-the-fly repairs during operations. You’ll work closely with Lift Maintenance leadership, Lift Operations, and Mountain Management to ensure everything is running safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
Your Responsibilities Include:
Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on chairlifts and surface lifts
Conducting daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections in accordance with ANSI B77.1 codes and resort standards
Troubleshooting mechanical issues and assisting with basic electrical problems
Working at height to inspect and service towers, sheave trains, grips, and terminals
Responding quickly and safely to lift breakdowns
Maintaining accurate logs and repair records
Assisting in training Level 1 mechanics and seasonal staff
Participating in pre-season lift prep and post-season shutdown
Operating snowmobiles, ATVs, and other resort vehicles as needed
Adhering to all safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and company policies
Outdoor mountain environment with variable weather conditions, including snow, wind, and cold
Early morning (starting at 6 AM), evening (as late as 8:30 PM), weekend, and holiday shifts are expected
Occasional on-call duties during peak operations or emergencies
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Comfortable working at heights in dynamic terrain and weather
At least 1–2 years of lift maintenance experience, preferably in a ski resort environment
Familiarity with ANSI B77.1 regulations
Mechanically inclined with some basic electrical knowledge
Calm under pressure and committed to teamwork and communication
Willing to work in physically demanding and ever-changing mountain conditions
Must be safety-conscious and detail-oriented
