Skidder Operator

Description

Skidder operators travel to forested areas scheduled for clearing. They will operate a grapple skidder in logging woods. They work alongside harvester machines, which trim the branches off the felled trees and cut the logs to the proper length. Skidder operator will pull, and transport cut trees from cutting site to landing to be sent to the mill. A Grapple Skidder is a rubber tired four-wheel-drive machine consisting of a power plant, operator enclosure, forward dozer blade and a maneuverable grappling device at the back of the machine.  This is a full-time position with a possibility of overtime.  Weather can dictate work schedule.   Benefits include major medical, dental, vision, life insurance, HSA, vacation, holidays, and 401K with employer match.
