Skilled Construction Laborer

ABM is seeking a dependable and experienced Skilled Construction Laborer to support construction operations on active job sites. This position performs a variety of construction support tasks requiring specialized experience, technical knowledge, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The Skilled Construction Laborer plays a key role in maintaining project productivity, quality workmanship, and a safe working environment.

Schedule: Monday-Saturday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Pay: $20-$22

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position.   A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

• Operate construction equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform material handling, loading, unloading, and site logistics support.
• Assist with installation activities and construction layout requirements.
• Prepare and maintain work areas to ensure efficient project execution.
• Perform minor repairs, adjustments, and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Read and follow project specifications, instructions, and safety requirements.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment appropriately.
• Support skilled trades and project teams with daily construction activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
• Identify and report safety hazards, equipment issues, and project concerns.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently while meeting quality standards and project deadlines

• Minimum of 2 years of construction-related experience.
• Working knowledge of construction practices, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull construction materials and equipment.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Preferred

• Experience operating construction equipment.
• Ability to read construction drawings, layouts, or project specifications.
• OSHA training or other construction safety certifications.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various positions for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds or more with assistance when required.
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Work Environment

• Active commercial construction sites.
• Exposure to noise, dust, uneven surfaces, and changing weather conditions.
• Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with site and company safety requirements.
