Job Description - Skills Course Trainer

Location: Hamilton
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Reports To: Training Supervisor 
Department: Training
Job Type: Internal Posting (Current Employees Only)



Position Overview:


We are seeking a motivated and professional internal candidate for the role of  SKill Course Trainer. This position plays a key role in onboarding and developing new operators and supporting the continued growth of our current team members.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct classroom and behind-the-wheel training for new and current operators.

  • Ensure operators are trained on all routes and vehicle types in alignment with safety and customer service standards.

  • Maintain accurate training documentation and records in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.

  • Supervise student operators and track progress throughout the training period.

  • Assist with monthly safety meetings and conduct ride checks/trail checks.

  • Lead refresher, remediation, and new equipment training as needed.

  • Provide expert guidance to operators on safe equipment operation.

  • Submit timely and complete paperwork, reports, and training logs.

  • May support incident/accident investigations as needed.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Internal Eligibility Requirements:


To be considered, internal candidates must:



  • Be in good standing with the company, with no active disciplinary actions on file.

  • Have a consistent and reliable attendance record.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and a positive attitude in their current role.

  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors and adhere to company policies.



Additional Requirements:



  • Selected candidates must complete a Skills Training Course and pass a competency assessment.

  • A formal interview process will be conducted.

  • A significant part of this role involves paperwork, documenting training, and submitting reports accurately and on time.
