PAID A-STEP TRAINING to become a Sleep Tech!

Polysomnographic Technologists (also referred to as Sleep Techs) work as members of a health care team responsible for monitoring patients while they sleep at night in order to help diagnose and evaluate treatment of sleep disorders. Sleep techs see patients with complex past medical histories often with many co-morbidities that impact testing. This requires knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias and ability to monitor vital signs while primarily responsible for obtaining sleep study data on two patients, recognizing when sleep apnea is present, and assessing treatment.

As an A-STEP provider (Accredited Sleep Technologist Educational Program Provider), we are interested in increasing our workforce by providing qualified candidates on the job (PAID) training for those interested in full-time positions working night shift at the end of their A-STEP Introductory course. If you are looking for a new career path, and a way to become a sleep technologist at no cost to you, and are willing to give a 2- year commitment once successfully completing, the A-STEP Introductory Course training opportunity is for you!

Full-time sleep tech schedule consists of three 12- hour overnight shifts/week. Must be willing to rotate occasionally to weekend shift and also work at two hospital locations.

We are currently looking to train in Newton, MA and add staff at the following area: Boston, MA

Job Skills for this position:

• EMT or Heath Care experience preferred


• Experience working NIGHTS


• Customer service experience; Strong verbal communication


• Computer skills required


• Ability to learn in an accelerated course format


• Organized and detail oriented


• Dependability, enthusiasm and professionalism


• Ability to multi-task and problem solve


• Confident working independently and as part of a team
