Slot Shift Manager

Summary

• The Slot Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing daily slot operations, training and development of assigned team members and verifying all transactions and daily operations are conducted in accordance with casino, departmental, AGC and M.I.C requirements. Slot Shift Managers are responsible for compiling and logging of all administrative documents regarding jackpot payouts, Title 31, corrective action, reviews, daily shift and financial reports. Shift Managers may be required to work 8- or 12-hour shifts depending on staffing levels and/or business needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner and provide exceptional customer service.
• Monitor the performance of direct reports, ensuring their adherence to all Casino, departmental, AGC and M.I.C requirements and/or policies and procedures.
• Authorizes jackpots, short pays, and hand pays according to approved policies and completes all required forms/documentation promptly and efficiently.
• Resolve guest disputes regarding disputed plays, pays, accidental bets or malfunctions. 
• Ensures and promotes GOLDEN standards. Monitors direct reports interactions with guests internal and external to ensure positive interactions.
• Use available resources to determine if departmental and casino service times are being met by subordinates or assigned team members. Monitors the Slot floor for suspicious activity during assigned shift.
• Performs stacker audits to resolve disputes and e-drops on full slot stacker and monitors TRM transactions.
• Slot Shift Managers are expected to compile daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as needed or assigned by Slot Operations Manager or Director.
• Logs and addresses disciplinary issues with team members; provides coaching and when necessary, issues corrective action in accordance with casino and departmental standards.
• Conducts performance reviews for assigned subordinates and provides constructive feedback to fellow shift managers for all other subordinates.
• Monitors and orders supplies/inventory, prepares schedules, evaluates staffing needs.
• End of shift report, daily hand pay report, logging of progressives, processing of Title 31 related documents and GM daily report are to be completed and submitted on a daily basis. 
• Carries out the administrative duties of the Slot Manager in their absence

Requirements

Qualifications/Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Minimum three years of current experience in Slot Operations with no less than one year in a lead or supervisory capacity. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions. 
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays. 
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from Augustine Gaming Commission. 
• Must complete Title 31 training within 90 days of employment.

Physical Demands/Work Environment

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly standing, kneeling, walking, reaching, twisting, grasping, lifting, listening, using computer, telephone, and speaking.
• Frequently using wrist motion, dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and writing, typing on computer keyboard.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work performed indoors, in a climate-controlled environment.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
• May be exposed to odor and secondhand smoke.
