Small Engine Mechanic

Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable, skilled, and motivated Small Engine Mechanic to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a wide variety of outdoor power equipment. This position involves working on all types of outdoor power equipment, including gas-powered and battery-powered equipment.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has strong mechanical skills, pays attention to detail, and is committed to providing quality repairs and excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair all types of outdoor power equipment.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on lawn mowers, zero-turn mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, blowers, edgers, generators, pressure washers, and other small engine equipment.
• Service and repair 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tune-ups, blade sharpening, and filter replacements.
• Troubleshoot fuel systems, carburetors, electrical systems, ignition systems, and engine performance issues.
• Repair and replace engine components and other mechanical parts as needed.
• Assemble, inspect, and prepare new equipment for customer delivery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Communicate repair needs and equipment issues with customers and team members.
• Complete repairs in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

• Previous small engine or mechanical repair experience preferred.
• Knowledge of outdoor power equipment and small engine operation.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
