Snow Removal Worker

About The Role:

The Quad City International Airport is looking for an eager applicant for the Airfield Maintenance Snow Removal Worker position. Under the direction of the Airfield Maintenance Supervisor assists with airport snow removal on an as-needed basis.

Key Requirements:

• Ability to pass a post-employment offer physical examination and drug screen.


• Ability to pass a background investigation to obtain unescorted Airport Identification/Access privileges.


• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from high school or possession of a GED, and


• Experience in the operation of motorized and/or complex heavy equipment preferred; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.


• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is beneficial.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Operates complex equipment in the removal of snow and ice from runways, taxiways, ramps, airfield entrances and parking lots.


2. Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations and maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
