Are you passionate about snowboarding and sharing that enthusiasm with others? As a Snowboard Instructor at Greek Peak Mountain Resort, you’ll teach guests of varying ages and skill levels, build their confidence, and help create memorable experiences on the slopes. This is your opportunity to share your skills while working in a scenic mountain setting! THIS SEASONAL POSITION WILL BEGIN IN EARLY DECEMBER 2026
Before being hired, applicants must successfully complete the Instructor Training Course tryouts on December 5 and 6, 2026, from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM. Successful candidates must attend mandatory training clinics on December 12 and 13, 2026. Applicants must also complete the Instructor Training Course Registration Form, which will be emailed to them. Applicants MUST be at least 16 years old and have WEEKEND availability.
What You’ll Do:
- Applicants MUST be at least 16 years old, be proficient snowboarders, and have strong communication skills.
- What You’ll Do:
- Teach and inspire guests through individual and group lessons that create a safe, enjoyable learning environment.
- Tailor instruction to each student’s skill level, helping them build confidence and improve their abilities.
- Demonstrate snowboarding techniques, including stance, turning, stopping, and speed control.
- Encourage progress with clear guidance, supportive feedback, and a positive attitude.
- Prioritize safety by supervising students, assisting with equipment, and reinforcing resort safety procedures.
- Represent Greek Peak professionally when interacting with students, parents, and fellow team members.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Skilled & Enthusiastic: You have strong snowboarding skills and a passion for helping others learn. Previous teaching experience is a plus.
- Certification & Technical Knowledge: AASI snowboard instructor certification is a plus.
- Clear Communicator: You can explain techniques effectively to guests of varying ages and abilities.
- Patient & Positive: You bring an encouraging attitude that helps students feel comfortable and confident.
- Flexible & Adaptable: You’re comfortable working outdoors in winter conditions and have availability on weekends and holidays.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
- Outdoor Conditions: Work in varying weather conditions, including cold temperatures, snow, and wind.
Location & Schedule:
Location: Greek Peak Mountain Resort, Cortland, NY
