Snowflake Engineer, Associate, Global Hedge Fund, New York

Responsibilities                                                                             

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouse or data lake.
• Collaborate with  data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and design data models that facilitate efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
• Implement and optimize dimensional models such as star schema and snowflake schema
• Develop and implement data transformation processes to clean, enrich, and aggregate raw data into formats suitable for downstream analytics and reporting. Utilize modern data stack like Snowflake, Fivetran, Coalesce.io to do data transformation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop scalable data architecture solutions

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in Snowflake.
• 4 - 7 years of experience in data architecture/engineering, with a proven track record of designing and implementing modern data solutions
• Experience in ELT/ETL technologies like Coalesce, Fivetran, Python, and/or other relevant technologies.
• Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in authoring data pipelines with the modern data stack, including utilizing Snowflake Tasks
