Snowmaker

Job Summary

The Snowmaker position serves as a team member for snow production within the ski area. Daily tasks include maintaining snowmaking equipment and ski trails to provide an excellent snow surface for skiing, riding and tubing. This position focuses on working outside for extended periods in inclement weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail. 

Must be at least 18

Good communication skills

Safety-conscious decision-maker

Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on sloped terrain

Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions

Preferred

Heavy equipment operation experience

Plumbing experience

Electrical experience

General mechanical aptitude

Typical Schedule

Days:

Spring, summer, and fall work schedule is Monday-Thursday. Winter, based on the weather and opportunity to make snow, weekends and holidays as needed

Hours:

7am-5pm. Winter, varies, including evenings and overnights

Core Responsibilities

•   Assist with snowmaking equipment repair


•   Install and retrofit new and existing snowmaking equipment


•   Monitor manual and automated snowmaking equipment to maximize efficiency


•   Other duties as assigned by management
