Snubbing Operator - ISS

Join our well-intervention team! ISS is seeking a Snubbing Operator to join our team of snubbing and hydraulic workover specialists. Career path advancement is accessible through specialized training and mentors who are committed to helping you learn about the snubbing and HWO process. 

This position is subject to a training period at the ISS facility based in Arnaudville, LA, and various field locations. Once trained, job locations are primarily the Gulf of America and Texas land-based sites. Lodging, meal subsidies, and currently running rotating schedules are provided by ISS, based on the assigned project. Example: 28 days on/14 days off 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Supervise and assign responsibilities for rig up of the unit.
• Strip ram to ram or through the annular.
• Rig up and function the choke manifold.
• Operate jack during pipe light and pipe heavy conditions /
  crossing balance point, and make up BHA’s.
• Fish and strip out of the BOP stack; in snub mode.
• Provide instruction in the rig-up/down of the unit.
• Instruct personnel on inspection and starting power packs.
  (Hydraulic or Mud Pump).
• Set the pumps on hydraulic power pack. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  

• High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• 5+ years’ experience with live well operations
• Knowledge and understanding of the Operation for 150K,
  225K, 340K, 460K and 600K Snubbing Units
