Senior Director of SOC Verification
In this role you'll be responsible for development and implementation ofSystem Design Solutions using Synopsys EDA tools and IP to solve customerproblems as part of a service project team. This is a "hands-on"leadership role that includes managing our SoC Verification experts as well asplanning and execution of programs. We are looking for an applicant to driveand manage a team of SoC Verification engineers taking on many aspects ofdesign development cycle including Verification Plan development,Testbench, VIP development and Integration, Regressions and Gate LevelSimulations to achieve design closure. In addition, you will be interactingwith customers and other Synopsys teams to gather requirements, estimateeffort, cost, schedules, design size and feasibility studies.
The Systems Solutions Group (SSG) delivers tool, methodology,architecture, design creation, design verification and physicalimplementation expertise to enable leading edge customers to complete theirmost challenging SoC design projects. ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all aspects of the SoC Digital and Mixed Signal Verificationand lead one or more complex projects.Build, Grow, Manage and Lead a team of SoC/Subsystem VerificationEngineers for various customer engagements.Work with Synopsys customers to understand their needs and define verificationscope and activities.Assist and mentor the team in day-to-day activities and grow the capabilitiesof verification team for future assignments.Review various results and reports to provide continuous feedback to the teamand improve quality of deliverables.Report status to management and provide suggestions to resolve any issues thatmay impact execution.Work with peers to improve verification methodology and improve executionefficiency.Collaborate with architects, designers, and pre and post siliconverification teams to accomplish deliverables.Work with Architects and RTL Designers, to write detailed testspecifications, test plans and to finalize design tradeoffs and performanceverification including InterconnectsVerify Complex IP blocks, Subsystems and SoC Top Level and support EmulationFoster an environment of collaboration, accountability for teams supportingthe project, while providing leadership and guidance to the cross-functionalteamsDevelop and Adhere to quality standards, process and best practices.Ramp-up on new Verification tools and methodologies using Synopsys Products toenable customers.Work with other Synopsys teams including BU AEs and Sales to develop,broaden and deploy Tool and IP solutions. QualificationsBS/MS in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or Equivalent withminimum 20+ years experience in SoC Verification domain.Technical expertise in various aspects of pre-silicon Verification (UVM,Cove age Analysis, Verification plan creation, debugging, etc)Good knowledge of various protocols (PCIe, Ethernet, USB, DDR,etc) and/or processor/interconnect/debug architecture.Hand on experience with verification tools such as VCS, waveform analyzerand third party VIP integration (such as Synopsys VIPs) is must.Ability to lead a team to perform verification on complex SoC/IP/Subsystems.Experience with planning and managing verification activities forSoC/Subsystems/IPs.Strong understanding of design concepts, ASIC flows and stakeholders.Good communication skills.The base salary range across the U.S. for this roleis between $198,000-$298,000.
