Job Description - Social Media Coordinator

Description

We are currently hiring for a dynamic and creative Social Media Coordinator to join our marketing team in Draper, Utah.  The Social Media Coordinator plays a key role in building and engaging our online community. In this position, you’ll help manage and grow our presence across platforms by supporting content planning, creation, scheduling, publishing, and community engagement. You’ll help ensure our social media efforts are consistent, on-brand, and aligned with broader marketing goals.  This position is located on our Draper, Utah campus.

WHAT YOU DO EVERYDAY:

  • Create, schedule, and publish content across platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest)
  • Monitor comments, messages, and tags – engaging with the community in a timely, brand-appropriate manner
  • Support the development and execution of social media campaigns
  • Track performance metrics and compile regular reports on engagement, reach, and trends
  • Stay on top of social trends, platform updates, and emerging tools. 
  • Collaborate with content creators, designers, and marketing team members to align social media efforts with broader campaigns. 
  • Maintain social media content calendar to align with overall marketing strategy, university communications, and PR efforts – ensuring consistent voice and visual identity across all platforms. 
  • Provide support with other team members during various campus events such as graduation and orientations
  • Attend and assist with graduation, pinning, student orientation and other events
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 

  • Required education:  Bachelors degree (preferably in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or IT)
  • Preferred education:  Master’s degree
  • Preferred experience: 4-5 years
