Requirements

What You’ll Actually Be Doing:

Social Media Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and execute tailored organic social media strategies for relevant platforms (primarily Instagram, Facebook, TikTok but also linkedin and youtube) aligned with overall marketing goals.
  • Plan, create, and manage a dynamic content calendar, balancing planned content pillars with timely, reactive opportunities.

Native Content Creation:

  • Independently create engaging, platform-native content including:
  • Short-Form Video: Conceptualize, film (using mobile), and edit short videos (<30 seconds) for Reels, TikTok, Shorts using mobile editing tools (e.g., CapCut, platform editors, or editing software), leveraging trending sounds and formats appropriately.
  • Image Content: Design and create basic graphics, memes, or edit photos using tools like Canva for quick-turnaround social posts.
  • Copywriting: Write compelling, on-brand captions and text-based posts tailored for each platform's audience and best practices.

Community Management & Engagement:

  • Actively monitor all social channels daily, responding promptly and engagingly to comments, messages, and mentions in the defined Wilson brand voice.
  • Foster conversations, build relationships with followers, and cultivate a positive online community.
  • Identify and leverage user-generated content opportunities.

Trend Monitoring & Adaptation:

  • Dedicate time daily/weekly to actively monitor platforms (TikTok, Instagram, etc.) to identify emerging trends, sounds, formats, and relevant conversations.
  • Quickly assess trend relevance and brand suitability, proposing and creating timely content adaptations for Wilson. Requires excellent judgment.

Publishing, Scheduling & Optimization:

  • Manage all organic posting and scheduling across platforms, optimizing for reach and engagement based on platform best practices and audience behavior.

Performance Analysis & Reporting:

  • Track, analyze, and report on key social media metrics (engagement rate, reach, follower growth, traffic, sentiment).
  • Provide regular insights on what content formats and topics are resonating, informing future strategy and content creation.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager on overall strategy and brand alignment.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Video Producer and external Designer resource by providing clear briefs for higher-production video and graphic needs that fall outside this role's scope.
  • Participate actively in content brainstorming sessions.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience managing and demonstrably growing brand social media profiles, particularly on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
  • Proven ability to create engaging native social media content:
  • Strong skills in mobile video creation and editing (using CapCut, Instagram/TikTok editors). Portfolio/examples required.
  • Proficiency in basic graphic design using tools like Canva. Portfolio/examples required.
  • Excellent social media copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different platforms and audiences.
  • Deep understanding of social media platform algorithms, best practices, and current trends.
  • Demonstrable experience in community management and fostering online engagement.
  • Ability to analyze social media data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to collaborate effectively remotely.
  • Highly organized with experience managing content calendars.
  • Creative, adaptable, proactive, and possesses excellent judgment regarding brand appropriateness.

Bonus but not required Qualifications:

  • Experience marketing for local businesses or the home services industry.
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling/analytics tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
  • Basic understanding of paid social advertising concepts.

Further Notes:

  • Emphasis on Native Content Creation: This is critical. Candidates MUST have demonstrable skills and portfolio examples of creating short-form video (mobile-shot/edited) and basic graphics specifically for social platforms (Reels, TikTok, FB/IG posts). Screen heavily for this.
  • Trend Awareness & Agility: Look for candidates who show genuine enthusiasm for social media culture and can speak intelligently about identifying and appropriately adapting trends for a brand.
  • Platform Focus: TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook experience are paramount.
  • Hands-On Role: This is not just strategy; the candidate will be actively doing the creation, posting, and engagement daily.
  • Home Services Interest: While not required, experience or understanding of marketing for local/home services is a significant advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
