We are currently looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our Credit Union. As the Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the respective social media channels of both the credit union and foundation by executing social media strategies that engage members, highlight select employer groups and promote community partners. You will strategize creative ways to integrate the Nusenda brand into conversations with members to enhance the organization's overall reputation, with a deep understanding of our members, partners, and the communities we serve. Additionally, you will partner inter-departmentally with team members and credit union departments, and externally with community partners.

What You'll Do:

  Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, or other social media tracking tools, design tools, and social media advertising platforms to create engaging visual content, including photos and videos, to promote Credit Union products, services, community involvement, and employee recognition.

  Manage written content and creation of social media assets in partnership with the Marketing Team’s Designer and Media Relations Director, including taking photos, drafting post copy, and sourcing stock photography.

  Identify and engage in opportunities for real-time social posts during credit union sponsored events.

  
  


• Make strategic recommendations to support key campaigns or programs, community support, special events, promotions, etc.


• Review and assist in updating social media processes and documents, including the social media calendar, scheduling tools, and make recommendations for improvement.


• Execute social media campaigns to grow and engage audiences and followers, supporting the broader marketing initiatives.


• Stay current and assesses industry and social media trends, tools, new platforms, innovations, and best practices.

What You'll Need:

• Three to five years of similar or related experience


• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or other related field.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Experience with daily social media scheduling and monitoring through social media tools including Hootsuite and other online tools.


• Financial Services and/or non-profit experience preferred. Experience analyzing and understanding social media metrics preferred.


• Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.


• Effectively communicate with internal and external customers appropriately via in person, email etc.


• Experience in multi-tasking, meeting strict deadlines, dealing with sensitive information, and problem resolution while providing exceptional service.


• Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and all internal systems as affiliated with the department.


• Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate
