Social Security Legal Assistant

Colorado's award-winning personal injury law firm, The Wilhite Law Firm, is hiring a Social Security Legal Assistant. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Social Security Legal Assistant. As a Social Security Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to our legal team in handling Social Security cases. 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct client interviews and gather necessary information for case preparation
• Assist in drafting legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and appeals
• Maintain case files and ensure all documents are organized and up-to-date
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, and government agencies
• Conduct legal research and stay up-to-date on changes in Social Security laws and regulations
• Schedule appointments and manage attorney calendars
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a legal setting
• Knowledge of Social Security laws and regulations
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research databases
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Compensation: $45,000/year
