Job duties:

The Social Service County Manager I will be responsible for monitoring Social Services Supervisor Expert, Social Services Specialists, Social Services Assistants, and monitoring the office needs for all units in the building.

This position will supervise staff, assign cases, end date cases, and approve narratives meet with staff to ensure they are following all plans, policies, and procedures related to child safety.

Ensure adequate services are provided to families. Conference safety assessment, foster care removals, and TDM meetings. Review affidavits for 30 day/72 hours hold petitions and attend court hearings when necessary.

Review history to ensure staff are assessing and making proper recommendations. Review narratives for accuracy and safety of children. Participate in TDM meetings, forensic interviews, and TCAR exams when necessary. Collaborate with other DCFS units, stakeholders, and community providers to ensure child safety. Work with community partners and stakeholders to provide adequate services to children and families. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Formal education of a bachelor's degree. Experience in working with children and/or families, some experience with community engagement or community resources. Public speaking and computer experience preferred. Organizational skills are a must.
