Social Services Specialist II - OKDHS Only

This position is for current OKDHS employees only. 

This position may be located anywhere in the state of Oklahoma.

Annual Salary

Social Services Specialist - H20B: $39,571.76 + Full State Employee Benefits

Travel is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain required car insurance.

Minimum Qualifications:

• A Master's degree.
• OR a Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in professional social work.
• OR an equivalent combination of education and social work, substituting one year of professional social work for each year of the required education.  

Job Responsibilities

• Conducts phone interviews with ADvantage (ADv) applicants, legal guardians and families to complete financial eligibility for the ADv Assisted Living (AL) service option according to established eligibility standards
• Responds timely and accurately to inquiries, calls and/or complaints received by the ADv AL eligibility unit from applicants, Members, Providers, related community contacts, and referral sources
• Utilizes available technology to manage workload using daily electronic communications, i.e. Outlook, OKDHS InfoNet, Harmony, Family Support System, ELDERS, IMS; is able to independently navigate these systems to perform assigned job duties.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to frequently lift up to 15 lbs for transporting computer.
Must have stable and reliable home Internet (not a hot spot) for telework or will be required to work in office. 

Preference may be given to candidate who haspPrevious experience in ADv/Nursing Home financial eligibility determinations.
