Software Dev Principal Engineer- C development and Networking experience is a must

Responsibilities: 

• Design and develop new software features on SonicWall firewall product-line.


• Write functional and design specifications, and work with technical publications team for documentation needs.


• Able to deliver features on time, with the highest level of quality, in the best interest of the customer.


• Facilitate problem diagnosis and prompt resolution for issues reported by customers.


• Maintain existing software features by implementing enhancements and fixing bugs.


• Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews, test case reviews, and process enhancements.

Requirements:  

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field with 12+ years of software development experience, or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field with 15+ years of software development experience


• High proficiency in programming in C is a must with 10+ years of experience.


• Hands on experience with Firewalls, SD-WAN, Routing technologies, VPNs, High Availability is a strong plus.


• Hands on experience and in-depth knowledge of Networking protocols and functioning of TCP/IP stack.


• Good experience with Linux operating systems and multi-threading. Experience in embedded system development is a plus.


• Experience in cybersecurity, web application security, or endpoint security is a plus.


• Proven experience architecting and implementing scalable systems.


• Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues.


• Self-motivated and strong collaborative team player with ability to work well with globally distributed team members.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferences:  

• Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced, agile team environment.


• Hands-On experience with GDB is a big plus
