These positions are located onsite on our Colorado Springs, CO campus, and supports our Space Systems East Engineering Software and Controls Engineering (SCE) group.\n\nWhat you\u2019ll get to do:\n\n * Full stack development at the OS, platform, and mission unique software layer\n\n * Developing client and server applications and services using service or object-oriented architectures, message bus-based data exchange that include first-of-a-kind capabilities\n\n * Applications will span languages and toolsets including Python, C++, Postgres, Ansible, cloud infrastructure provisioning, PKI, and static code analysis execution and finding remediation\n\n * Developer will be expected to be a self-starter capable of making decisions with overall project budget and schedule in mind\n\n * Support Operations ground software and associated configurations. Experience can be considered in lieu of degree (additional 4 years)\n\n * 5+ years of experience with Agile programs including Agile DevOps\n\n * 5+ years of experience with the design, build, and deployment of software products\n\n * 5+ years of experience in producing software architecture documentation\n\n * Experience with Python, C++ and Docker/Kubernetes \n\n * US Citizenship\n\n * Must have a TS/SCI at the time of application, with ability to obtain and maintain SAP too\n\n\n\n\nSr. Principal Software Development Engineer:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) and 8 years of experience; OR a master\u2019s degree and 6 years: OR a PhD and 3 year Experience can be considered in lieu of degree (additional 4 years)\n\n * 8+ years of experience with Agile programs including Agile DevOps\n\n * 8+ years of experience with the design, build, and deployment of software products\n\n * 8+ years of experience in producing software architecture documentation\n\n * 8+ years of experience with Python, C++ and Docker/Kubernetes \n\n * Prior experience with modeling and simulation in support of wargaming, user training, TTP generation and/or CONOPS exploration\n\n * US Citizenship\n\n * Must have a TS/SCI at the time of application, with ability to obtain and maintain SAP too\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Active TS/SCI w/SAP\n\n * Experience developing satellite ground software with any of the following applications for spacecraft missions is highly preferred: Command and Control, Mission Planning, Visualization, and/or Astrodynamics.\n\n * Experience with the creation and use of spacecraft command and control system utilizing cryptographic equipment and a combination of government and/or commercial communications paths.\n\n * Experience with the creation and use of planning software and constraint checking applications utilized in complex and dynamic space mission planning.\n\n * Experience with the creation and implementation of visualization tools for space missions, including dynamic renderings of space vehicles, depiction of space vehicle missions, simulation of space vehicle sensor and mission outputs, and configuration displays of complex contextual and situational awareness information.\n\n * Linux, Ansible, Docker, Graphics and Animation, UI/UX experience\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00\n\nSecondary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
