Software / DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer with a strong DevOps mindset, positioned between software development and operations. The role is open to strong Mid\-level engineers ready to grow, as well as Senior engineers who can take ownership and mentor others. You will work on high\-traffic mobile and web applications processing ~3 million records per day, contributing to the replacement of an external vendor system with a modern, in\-house solution.

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java (latest Spring / Spring Boot)
  




• Build and integrate frontend components using React
  




• Design and consume APIs using GraphQL and gRPC
  




• Work with cloud\-native and containerized architectures
  




• Contribute to system scalability, reliability, and observability
  




• Participate in on\-call rotation (approximately once every 6 weeks, including US\-time coverage)
  




• Collaborate daily with distributed teams across Czechia, India, and Malaysia
  




• Take part in agile ceremonies (daily stand\-ups, planning, retrospectives)
  




• Mid\-level: grow into system ownership with guidance
  




• Senior\-level: lead technical decisions and mentor team members
  

Requirements

• Experience as a Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or System Engineer (Mid or Senior level)
  


• Strong understanding and hands\-on programming experience with Java & Spring
  


• Basic to solid experience with React, depending on seniority
  


• Good understanding of DevOps principles and production\-grade systems
  


• Experience with containerization and cloud environments
  


• Interest in system design, scalability, and reliability
  


• Ability to work effectively in a global, distributed team
  


• Good spoken and written English
  


• Senior candidates: proven mentoring experience and technical leadership skills
