Software Engineer

Job Title:  

Job Duties:  Creating namespaces (projects) in OpenShift for different environments. Design and implement network policies within OpenShift; enhance the security posture of applications within specific namespaces. Utilize OpenShift network policy features to control ingress and egress traffic, restricting communication between microservices and ensuring a least-privileged access model. Integrate Apache Airflow into the OpenShift container orchestration platform, enabling efficient scheduling and orchestration of workflows using DAGs. Install and configure Apache Cassandra operator on OpenShift, optimize resource utilization and ensure high availability and fault tolerance. Deploy and integrate Apache Solr operator for efficient and scalable full-text search capabilities within OpenShift. Install and configure GitLab Runner Operator on OpenShift, enabling seamless integration with GitLab CI/CD pipelines for efficient application deployment. Install and configure the Apache Spark operator on OpenShift, enabling the orchestration and management of Spark applications in a Kubernetes-native manner. Collaborate with data engineering teams to deploy and scale Spark workloads on OpenShift, optimizing for performance and resource utilization. Create, configure and manage service accounts within OpenShift, ensuring secure and controlled access for applications and services. Implement Minio bucket access keys to enforce minimal and controlled access to DAGs (Directed Acyclic Graphs) within specific refined and trusted zones. Collaborate with security teams to define access policies and permissions, aligning Minio configurations with organizational security standards. Align Minio access policies with the specific requirements of refined zones to ensure a granular and secure access model. Configure RoleBindings for Operators and applications to enforce proper authorization based on their respective roles. Create, configure and manage service accounts within OpenShift, ensuring secure and controlled access for applications and services. Perform regular health checks on production environments.

Work Location: various unanticipated work locations throughout the United States; relocation may be required. Must be willing to relocate.

Minimum Requirements:

Education: Master – Computer Applications or Applied Computer Science (will accept foreign education equivalent)

Experience:  One (1) year
