Software Engineer

Fastpoint Games is looking for a Engineers for its Professional Services, Backend Services and Game Operations teams.

The ideal candidate can both work independently or work in a group; likes a fast-paced, startup environment; is detail-oriented and is highly motivated.

We’re looking for:
− Experience with Ruby and/or Ruby on Rails
− Web development skills (Javascript, CSS, HTML)
− Good understanding of SQL and databases
− Excellent written and verbal communication skills
− Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
− Experience in a linux environment
− Experience using Oracle or Postgres
− Familiarity with version control and issue tracking systems
− Knowledgeable in Sports and/or Fantasy Sports is a plus
− Experience with building web-based applications is a plus
− Experience working on or with open source projects is a major plus
