Software Engineer

Toyoda Gosei North America (headquartered in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Software Engineer in the CIS department. The Software Engineer functions with a high degree of autonomy, and is responsible for providing professional level software engineering for Toyoda Gosei (TG) North America Corporation (TGNA) and TGNA Manufacturing Companies (AMCs).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Design system processes, user interface(s), and ensure user experience meets requirements and expectations
Provide expertise and support to NAMCs on quality and software process improvement (SPI)
Collaborate with NAMCs to centralize systems & ensure horizontal deployment (Yokoten) of knowledge/standards
Perform analysis to determine functional/user, and conceptual/logical/physical design requirements for system and user interface design and functionality
Software programming as needed to ensure system stability, usability, and functional requirements are met utilizing ASP.Net and C# languages
Collaborate cross functionally to ensure effective system deployment, including training, for all NAMCs
Develop a proprietary IOT system, ensuring machine interoperability and centralized data aggregation
Partner with NAMCs on best practices to improve Supply Chain costs/labor needed to support projects
Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts
Function in a highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork is crucial to organizational success
Qualifications and Competencies Bachelor of Computer Information Systems or related field is required
Minimum of three years in software development is required
Ability to program systems utilizing ASP.Net/Cloud SaaS and C# environments is required
Demonstrated experience with queries and triggers utilizing SQL and/or Oracle databases
Experience analyzing and documenting user/system requirements is required
Demonstrable experience working with Cloud, Web, and Local server development is required
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites 2016 or newer is required
Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required
Effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills with all staff and management are required
Effective attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills is required
