Software Engineer / Data Scientist

Job Description

Work closely with application developers to ensure the database design aligns with the application's data access and usage patterns.
Work with a team of Service Provider's resources to deliver integration solutions.
Collaborate with other technical groups on technology issues and solutions.
Create and maintain document of solutions built.
Collaborate with infrastructure teams.
Participate in recurring and ad-hoc meetings related to Build activities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
Professional certification preferred.
6-10 years of relevant experience
Linux (Unix) server admin experience.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data analysis and modeling is a must.
Proven experience in data science role, preferably in pharmaceutical industry.
Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a team player mentality.
Exhibit a positive work approach.
Ability to think critically and creatively to tackle complex business challenges.
Experience in handling and analyzing large-scale structured and unstructured data sets.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
6+ years of experience with Database tools such as SQL
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a must.

Technical Certification Bonus:

Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
