Serves as Project Leader on large software projects or major software solutions. Acts as a resource for the team.
The Software Engineer - HA will be responsible for:
Specifying, designing, developing, and maintaining elegant software solutions across all tiers and supporting needs of multiple projects.
Writing scalable, performant code in a collaborative team environment.
Excelling in independent working environments.
Participating in design review with team.
Supporting current operational software solutions.
Helping maintain software development standards.
Building and researching the new technologies and development tools to apply to our projects and presenting to the team.
To qualify you must have:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline is required
Two years relevant coding experience is required
Experience with Wordpress preferred
strong experience in a modern JavaScript framework, HTML/CSS, CS Fundamentals is required
Strong CS fundamentals, object‐oriented architecture utilizing design patterns, analytical problem solving, testing, and debugging skills
Prior experience working on/with RESTful APIs
Relational database experience (SQL)
Experience with Ruby, Python, Java, or another high-level programming language a. Experience with Ruby/Ruby on Rails is a plus
Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
Experience with agile development
Experience with Git for version control (Github)
Experience with LMS (Learning Management System) platforms preferred a. Experience with the Docebo LMS platform is a strong plus
Experience with AWS preferred
Work requires the analytical skills to collect information from diverse sources, apply professional principles in performing various analyses, and summarize the information and data in order to solve problems
Work requires the ability to work well on a team, communicating effectively and supports team members as needed
Work requires the ability to manage small to medium sized projects and to effectively persuade and negotiate with team and management on issues that impact progress
Work requires the ability to interact with outside collaborators, providing prompt and professional service, support and communication
Note - This is a hybrid role, Candidate needs to come to office in Boston, MA.
