Torch Technologies is currently seeking a Software Engineer to support the Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) at the Detroit Arsenal, located in Warren, MI. Selected candidates will play a pivoted role in supporting new software project development for new vehicle platforms. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated practical experience with software development, integration, and implementation along with strong acquisition management skills and knowledge of milestone gate processes.
Job Requirements Qualified Candidates will have direct experience with the following: Software Engineering with emphasis in the following areas: Embedded Systems Software Product Assurance Software Safety Conducting requirements decomposition from various operational requirements | documents Analyzing technical capability and maturity of various software systems Developing technical performance specifications Testing methodologies and plan development Coordinating with cross functional domains Reviewing contractor performance specifications | requirements and software documentation Experience within a multiple discipline engineering team Qualified candidates will have an interest or experience in one of the following areas: Familiar with System of Systems | Sub Systems for Ground Combat Vehicles Familiar with Systems Engineering and DoD Acquisition processes Broad Experience with Electronics and Digital Communication Buses (e.g. RS422, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, Ethernet, etc.) Integration of software within hardware systems with emphasis on real time | safety critical systems Understanding of OEM documentation |Technical Data Interpolation up to and including drawing reviews and reverse engineering principles. Experience in military ground air, or naval vehicles type certification and material release Experience in test and evaluation of complex weapons systems such as missiles, aircraft, tanks, and indirect fire systems
