Position Overview
As a Software Engineer, you'll play a central role in developing and maintaining software systems that support retail operations. You'll lead validation and testing initiatives, oversee programming projects, and manage the complete software development lifecycle. Responsibilities
- Develop and direct software system validation and testing methods to ensure quality standards
- Lead software programming initiatives and oversee development of technical documentation
- Manage the software development lifecycle from planning through deployment and monitoring
- Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to communicate project updates and proposals
- Analyse data to coordinate installation of new systems or modifications to existing systems
- Monitor system performance and track project milestones to ensure timely delivery
- Apply mathematical and statistical approaches to solve complex technical problems
- Develop innovative solutions to meet business needs and test new software capabilities
- Build and maintain documentation standards across development projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience in software engineering or development
- Hands-on programming experience with relevant languages and tools
- Proficiency in software development tool suites and environments
- Strong understanding of computer science concepts and principles
- Experience managing the software development lifecycle and working with clients
- Excellent coding abilities and working knowledge of agile methodologies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration
- Proven problem-solving capabilities and team-building experience
- Willingness to travel as required for project needs
