Job Description - Software Engineer (Senior API Developer))

Position: API Engineer Location: SF , Plano , McLean, Richmond Title: Software Engineer (Senior Associate) Job Description: Design, deliver and support RESTful API solutions for customers covering three workstreams: IT Risk Management, IT Service Management and IT Asset Management. Maintain the software and cloud infrastructure for these API solutions with a you-build-it-you-own-it mindset. General Responsibilities: â¢ Collaborate with customers to identify data and process requirements â¢ Design RESTful API solutions that adhere to best practice architectural and SDLC guidelines â¢ Develop API solutions with automated code and integration testing â¢ Maintain automated deployment of code using CI/CD platform â¢ Integrate API solutions with ServiceNow platform modules â¢ Collaborate with management, business users, developers and various other stakeholders â¢ Create supporting system documentation including requirement documents, design documents and training guides. â¢ Work on issues and requests for platform assistance including end-user trouble inquiries, regular maintenance, enhancements, and defect fixes. â¢ Contribute to the creation of custom reports and dashboards as well as generating KPIs and supporting metrics. â¢ Integrate and interface service-now with other systems using web services and other web-based technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP. â¢ Develop programs using web technologies such as Spring, Kotlin, Angular, JavaScript/Typescript â¢ Develop programs using testing technologies such as Cucumber, Karate, Cypress â¢ Experience with ServiceNow API â¢ Work on any other tasks assigned by management Basic Qualifications: â¢ Bachelorâs Degree â¢ At least 2 years of experience developing RESTful APIs â¢ At least 2 years of experience with cloud infrastructure â¢ At least 3 years of experience using web technologies Preferred Qualifications: â¢ 3+ years of Spring (Java/Kotlin) development experience â¢ 2+ years of experience with J2EE technologies â¢ 2+ years experience in AWS cloud
