Software Engineer (Wi-Fi/Embedded Applications)

in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position is located in our

Gaithersburg, MD

office.

Job Responsibilities:
Analyze, design, develop, test, document, and implement high performance, real-time Wi-Fi/embedded applications incorporating all technical elements from low level driver development to user interfaces.
Review system requirements and design. Work with technical leads across teams and disciplines to develop high availability scalable Satellite-Wi-Fi communication systems.
Implement software applications passing through all stages of development.
Analyze and resolve software issues. Fix Wi-Fi issues from Application level to the Firmware level.

Basic Requirements :
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Networks, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 6 months' experience in embedded software applications or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Networks, Computer Engineering or a closely related field plus 5 years' experience in embedded software applications.
Experience must include 6 months in each of the following: GDB; network device drivers; Wi-Fi communication protocols; Wi-Fi stack and device driver; Linux network device driver; Real-time Operating System; light weight IP & Kernel programming; IoT; and IP programming on QEMU hardware virtualization environment.

Will be eligible for discretionary bonus, with funding based on company performance.
