Northrop Grumman\u2019s Space Sector invites you to bring your pioneering spirit to our collaborative teams.\n\nAs a Technical Director - 1 for the Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program, you\u2019ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Central Region Engineering Software, Electronics, and Payloads. The preferred location for this role is Huntsville, AL. May consider one of the following major Space sector locations: Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO.\n\nJob responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:\n\n * Apply strong depth of knowledge in Missile Defense Systems to manage the technical baseline for the program\n\n * Assist the Prime Contractor in management of the day-to-day operations of the Missile Defense National Team (MDNT)\n\n * Oversee the implementation of project processes to include planning, risk management, integration, and scope control\n\n * Leadership of NG personnel and subcontractors on the program ensuring they are appropriately resourced to provide engineering excellence\n\n * Collaborate with the government customer at the Senior Executive Service level and with teammates across the MDNT\n\n * Other duties as assigned\n\n\n\n\nWhy you? You\u2019re the candidate we\u2019re searching for if you are ready to achieve the impossible alongside like-minded innovators.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree (STEM) with 12 years of progressive technical experience in engineering \u2013 OR \u2013 Master\u2019s degree with 10 years of progressive technical experience in engineering \u2013 OR \u2013 PhD with 8 years of progressive technical experience in engineering \n\n * Requires an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope\n\n * Ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance\n\n * Effective in customer relations, expectation management, and building coalitions with customers, government staff, and other contractors\n\n * Technical leadership experience including the ability to lead highly skilled teams\n\n * Experience in developing and modernizing large-scale C4 systems\n\n * 5+ years of technical leadership experience as an IPT lead, Chief Engineer, or Architect\n\n * Experience leading the development of cost and technical proposals\n\n * Ability to apply Agile and DevOps methodologies\n\n * Excellent interpersonal, written and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex concepts\n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Master\u2019s degree or PhD in a STEM related field.\n\n * Active or current TS/SCI security clearance\n\n * Extensive experience with BMDS systems and interactions between the Elements that make up the BMDS\n\n * Experience with MDA/CR and MDA/BC leadership as well with other MDA 2-letters.\n\n * Knowledge of MDNTB structure and leadership\n\n\n\n\nAs a leader with integrity, you ensure ethical conduct, balanced results, and partner satisfaction. For more information on our Total Rewards package, please visit our Total Rewards site.\n\nNorthrop Grumman Total Rewards\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $185,400.00 - $292,000.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.\n\nThe application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
