Solar Consultant

Job Summary:

The Solar Store is expanding our sales department and seeking three new team members. This role offers a base salary plus commission, with potential earnings exceeding $100,000 annually. Compensation:

• Base salary plus commission with target earnings exceeding $100K annually.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Uphold our core values in a low-pressure sales environment.


• Attend training sessions to become a consultative sales professional.


• Maximize income by closing leads and helping families transition to solar energy.


• Provide timely quotes and prepare contract materials and utility paperwork.


• Accurately prepare job packets for drafting and operations teams.


• Maintain ongoing communication with customers to ensure high satisfaction.


• Assist with collections as needed.


• Participate in marketing events such as home shows and community events.


• Stay updated on utility incentives and state and federal tax credits.


• Follow up on leads promptly.


• Be flexible with your work schedule, including some weekends.


• Respect and maximize the leads provided by The Solar Store.

Work Experience Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License and eligibility for The Solar Store’s automobile insurance.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).


• Ability to move ladders and work on roofs.


• Construction experience is a plus.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience, or


• Associate degree in a related field with 8 years of experience, or


• High School Diploma or GED with 10 years of progressive sales experience.
