Solar Placard Designer

This is a full-time, direct placement role at Citadel Roofing and Solar.

Job Description: The Solar Placard Designer will be responsible for creating accurate, code-compliant placards for solar installations. This role supports field teams by ensuring all required labeling is clear, durable, and meets local and national standards. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, basic design skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with field and quality teams. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design and produce solar placards based on system specifications and code requirements. 

• Collaborate with field teams to ensure placards are correctly placed and legible. 

• Maintain a library of standard placard templates and update them as needed. 

• Ensure compliance with NEC, AHJ, and utility labeling standards. 

• Assist in quality control checks related to placard placement and accuracy. 

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or design coursework is a plus. 

• Basic proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw, or similar). 

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

• Ability to interpret solar system plans and labeling requirements. 

• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving code standards. 

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
