Our entry-level Solar Technicians earn an average of more than $70,000 in their first year, with the potential to earn over $95,000 in their second year as a Crew Chief!

While you’re on the road, VIKOR covers all travel expenses, including per diem and your own hotel room. We will also cover the cost for you to obtain your CDL license.

Solar Technicians are part of the action—responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar energy systems. You’ll travel across the region working on solar arrays for major utility and renewable energy companies.

VIKOR specializes in commercial solar installation, maintenance, and service work, along with tower, utility, and wind energy projects. With locations across the Midwest, Mountain States, and Southwest, our footprint spans Sioux Falls, SD; Rapid City, SD; Salt Lake City, UT; Denver, CO; Bismarck, ND; Tulsa, OK; Phoenix, AZ; and Sebree, KY.

 General Responsibilities

• Travel for 6-8 weeks at a time
• Treat company tools and equipment with proper care
• Receive and follow directions from the Crew Chief
• Assist the Crew Chief in ensuring projects are completed on schedule
• Help train new employees as directed
• Progress within prescribed time frames as outlined in the company Advancement Program
