The Soldering Technician utilizes knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform soldering and other manufacturing processes. Maintains standards of quality, production, and safety; complies with all company policies and works as part of a team to ensure that daily goals are met. In this function you will: Perform high reliability soldering operations of wires on complex mechanical and/or electrical assemblies with a familiarity in component surface finishes and aerospace cleanliness requirements. Perform detailed soldering operations while working under a microscope as required. Perform manufacturing processes on complex assemblies following written instructions. Verify calibrated equipment, material with expiration dates and written instructions are up to date and accurate prior to use in production. Properly manage the traceability of numerous components to ensure assembly accuracy. Work in partnership with Engineering to Identify improvement opportunities, resulting in a decrease of lead time, cost savings, elimination of waste, or safety improvement Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status and J-Standard Soldering Certification following site guidelines Responsible for ensuring that compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards are met. High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years Aerospace manufacturing OR military experience OR 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience Ability to communicate problems in product or quality in to supervisor or manager clearly and concisely. No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Orchard Park, NY facility. Active - Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Thorough Understanding of mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics. Skilled at diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical assemblies issues.
