Job Description - Solution Architect - Occupational Health

The Leidos QTC Health Services Office of Technology (OoT) seeks a seasoned Solution Architect to support our Occupational Health Business area.

As a Solution Architect, you will support the development of solutions with existing and new capabilities within the QTC capability portfolio. This position will work closely with the OoT leadership team, line of business leaders, and Growth team personnel to understand customer needs through pre-sales engineering and account management activities and support the development of compelling solutions to those needs. The candidate will bring these solutions forward through white papers, proof of concepts, presentations, and proposal responses. This position requires leading and engaging teams of people with diverse skills to develop comprehensive solutions ranging from specific system needs to full enterprise coverage. This position will be able to conceptualize these solutions around key business needs and goals in full awareness of industry trends.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the development of innovative solutions in support of major capture efforts, balancing these solutions against cost, schedule, function, quality, and other business considerations
Lead and engage teams comprised of internal and/or external contributors to develop comprehensive solutions ranging from specific system needs to full enterprise coverage
Create content for white papers, proposals, and briefings demonstrating the thought leadership capabilities of the organization, as well as supporting various marketing and business development efforts through customer interaction
Assist capture strategy development through technical leadership, including the creation and marketing of discriminating value propositions
Assist in the development of the systems integration capabilities across multiple accounts within the business
Support program management and business development reviews and assist in improving performance of existing projects as required
Conduct pre-sales engineering activities, to include engaging directly with customers in combination with our Business Development and Operations leadership teams
Competencies

:

Demonstrated ability to lead project teams to deliver solutions based on business needs
Experience building a healthcare solution including electronic health record capabilities and integration with external health information exchanges
Demonstrated track record in architecting, implementing and maintaining complex enterprise solutions and workflows
Demonstrated ability to visualize end-to-end system components across a wide range of technologies
Strong communication skills (writing, speaking, and listening)
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong leadership skills to include collaboration, communication and presentation, ability to influence others, strategic thinking, and accountability
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline w/ 9 to 14 years of progressive professional experience in software, systems engineering or solution architecture (Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
Experience in areas of technical architecture, engineering, and integration of:
Microservices, RESTful APIs, API management, queuing and messaging, logging and monitoring, integration, workflow, automation
Identity, authentication/authorization, API hardening, encryption, privacy, scalability, and resiliency
AWS, Containers (e.g., Kubernetes), compute, storage, network, serverless, CI/CD, and SecDevOps
Software development (i.e., C#, .Net/Core, HTML)
Data & database technologies (i.e., SQL Server, NoSQL DBs, ETL, analytics, and BI)

Experience integrating Electronic Health Records
Experience integrating with federal or state Health Information Exchanges
Development and/or Operational program experience
Direct experience working with federal health agencies such as: VHA, DHA, VBA
Experience in the development of solutions for proposals
Experience in writing for white papers, RFI responses, and proposals
Experience in running trade studies, product/platform evaluations, and/or research projects
Experience in customer engagements
AWS certification desirable

Pay and Benefits:

Salary range $170,000 - $195,000
