Major Goals and Responsibilities:
The Solutions Engineer, a core member of the Technology Alignment Team, collaborates primarily with the client success (account management) team to align a client's IT services, products, software, and infrastructure with the organization’s business goals. This role involves designing, scoping, and pricing technical solutions tailored to meet the client's business technology needs and requirements. During client engagements, the Strategic Technical Account Manager (STAM) spearheads business strategy discussions, while the Solutions Engineer focuses on the technical aspects of solution design, and the Systems Analyst addresses client support requirements. Together, these three resources ensure ongoing alignment between client business strategy, client environment technical configuration, and end-user support experiences.
The Solutions Engineer is the primary sales engineer working within the client success or account management team – in instances of complex scopes or more sophisticated environment designs, it is expected that the Solutions Engineer engages with Solutions Architects to ensure proper considerations and scoping efforts are taken. Key considerations when Solutions Engineers are scoping solutions for client environments include the client organization’s financial budgeting implications, security posture, operational stability, operational efficiency, and the end user experience impact.
As a member of the Technology Alignment Team, the Solutions Engineer will be engaged on an ad hoc basis to drive internal team initiatives forward. Examples of internal initiatives include, but are not limited to: product/solution stack evaluation, scoping and pricing process refinement, solution training for sales team and other Prosource Technologies personnel, client education training, etc.
