Solutions Engineer B2B SaaS

About the Role

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to partner with Sales on technical engagements with enterprise and mid-market customers.

This role serves as the technical bridge between customers and a B2B SaaS/API platform, leading technical discovery, API integration discussions, solution design, product demonstrations, and implementation planning.

The ideal candidate combines Solutions Engineering or Pre-Sales experience with strong hands-on API integration and software/technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to lead technical discovery, qualification, scoping, and solution design.
• Design solutions for enterprise and mid-market customer requirements.
• Lead technical product demonstrations and presentations.
• Advise customers on REST APIs, integration architecture, and implementation approaches.
• Read and navigate API documentation and understand integration requirements.
• Perform technical gap analysis and develop appropriate solutions.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders.
• Support technical objection handling and value-based selling.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and customer-facing teams.
• Support technical customer questions and ensure a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation.
• Provide product feedback and identify opportunities for improving technical solutions and processes.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or Pre-Sales experience.
• Experience with B2B SaaS and API-based products.
• Experience supporting enterprise or mid-market customers.
• Strong hands-on experience with REST APIs and API integrations.
• Ability to understand integration architecture and work with API documentation.
• Ability to read and write code sufficiently to support technical integrations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong technical discovery, presentation, and solution-design skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts as clear business value.
• Experience with value-based selling and technical objection handling.
• Willingness to travel up to approximately 40%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience at a high-growth SaaS startup or scale-up.
• Software Engineering or Solutions Architecture background.
• Experience with API-first technology companies.
• Experience in fintech, tax technology, compliance software, or related B2B technology.
• Experience transitioning from post-sales/implementation into Solutions Engineering.

Compensation & Benefits

• $170,000–$200,000 base salary
• Exceptional candidates may be considered for base compensation up to $230,000.
• Commission-based compensation structure.
• Equity and restricted stock unit (RSU) opportunities.
• Total OTE is approximately $242,000–$314,000, depending on compensation structure and performance.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid – New York, NY

• Approximately 2 days per week in the office.
• Up to 40% travel may be required.
• Candidates should be comfortable with the travel requirements of the position.
