Are you passionate about supporting individuals, strengthening our community, and making a meaningful difference? Santo Domingo Pueblo is seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to serve as our SORNA Program Coordinator.


Summary of Position:


The incumbent manages and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Santo Domingo Pueblo SORNA Program and serves as a liaison between the Pueblo, SMART Office, U.S. Department of Justice, law enforcement agencies, and COSA stakeholders. Coordinates supportive networks for registered sex offenders ("Core Members") who have served a sentence or are under community supervision, promoting accountability, successful reintegration, and compliance with registration requirements. Responsible for developing and managing grants, budgets, reporting requirements, and other program-related activities.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice preferred, and two years law enforcement or an equivalent combination of education and experience which may include experience as a Pueblo Tribal Official.

  • Knowledge of SORNA requirements, offender registration procedures, community supervision, and reentry services preferred.

  • Experience working with tribal, federal, state, or local government agencies preferred.

  • Experience with grant writing, grant management, budgeting, and program reporting preferred.

  • Fluent in the Keres language preferred.

  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass a background check and the new hire drug screening.

  • May be required to travel as necessary to fulfill job-related duties and responsibilities.

  • May be required to work various shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Valid New Mexico driver's license with ability to meet Santo Domingo Pueblo liability insurance requirements and maintain eligibility for insurance.
