OBJECTIVE The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for assisting in the analysis and follow-up needed to develop and implement sourcing strategies for PPI´s clients including sourcing instruments such as Master Supply, Service, Lease, and License Agreements.
Also, assists the department members in business development and integration activities with PPI´s current and new clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

duties may be assigned) Sourcing Strategy Development ·
Upon Manager’s request, coordinates with business stakeholders, cross functional teams, end-users, buyers, sellers, and PPI’s personnel, to obtain supporting documents and information needed for the development of the required strategy ·
Retrieves and process data from the Automated Information Systems (the “Systems”) required for the performance of spend analyses, demand forecasts, and design of sourcing strategies ·
Supports the department in the implementation and execution of sourcing instruments and processes ·
Prepares presentations and minutes of status review meetings Negotiation and implementation of sourcing instruments ·
Sends invitation letters and requests for information (“RFI”), quotations (“RFQ”) and services proposals (“RFP”) ·
Proofreads sourcing instruments and contracts drafts ·
Follows up on responses of suppliers to RFI, RFQ, and RFP, including all supporting documentation ·
Participates in the revision of comments received from the suppliers regarding the sourcing instrument draft, to gain knowledge and experience on client’s requirements, negotiation strategies, and ZOPA (Zone of Possible Agreement) ·
Supports the Manager and Consultant in negotiation sessions with suppliers by coordinating activities, and taking notes, to contribute to achieve the desired objectives ·
Prepares presentations, coordinates, and participates in kick-off meetings with new suppliers to provide general orientation on the development and operation of strategic sourcing strategies, and instruments ·
Implements sourcing instruments in the Systems and coordinates any related interaction with other departments such as Supplier Alliances, Procurement, Supplier Management and Analysis, and IT, to ensure that client´s transactions are aligned with the corresponding strategy and instrument ·
Prepares and submits for Manager’s approval, official communications to clients and suppliers regarding execution, implementation, or termination of sourcing instruments Commercial Support ·
Participates in meetings with potential or current clients, to understand their specific needs ·
Prepares presentations and participates in meetings with new or current clients where the team members provide general orientation on PPI´s available services ·
Elaborates minutes of meetings, data and status reports, and presentations, as required Administrative Support to the department ·
Prepares data and assists in internal and external audit processes, as requested ·
Creates and maintains contracts and strategies files ·
Creates and maintains logs and files of administrative activities such as training programs of the department, projects progress reports, etc. ·
Participates (including travel, when applicable) in the courses, seminars, conferences, etc. considered in the department’s yearly program ·
Reviews changes in applicable policies and norms to adapt sourcing strategies ·
Participates in system functionality tests ·
Performs other related duties and special projects, as required QUALIFICATIONS / ATTRIBUTES ·

REQUIREMENTS Education Level: ·
A four-year college degree in an engineering discipline (industrial engineering preferred) or business degree with an analytical orientation
Years of Experience: ·
A minimum of one year of experience in procurement, negotiation, or in a related field is preferred
Travel Requirements:
5% -
20% of the time in the United States, Mexico or as required
Language:
Fluent in English and Spanish
Special Requirements: ·
Computer Skills – Proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.) Ability to learn new software quickly ·
Math Ability – Ability to apply mathematical operations to price changes, economic index calculations, comparative analysis, and basic
estimations/projections

PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs. occasionally.
