The Sourcing & Category Specialist l supports the procurement and sourcing team in executing tactical purchasing and category management tasks. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to grow within supply chain management and procurement functions, while learning industry best practices and systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITY:

• Assist in collecting and analyzing spend data and supplier information.


• Support the creation and distribution of RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.


• Help maintain contract records, including renewals and amendments.


• Track supplier performance metrics and prepare reports for leadership.


• Learn procurement tools such as ERP systems and contract management software.


• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on routine procurement activities.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE DESIRED:

• Strong organizational and communication skills.


• Proficient Microsoft Suite, including Excel; familiarity with procurement tools is a plus.


• Familiarity with procurement standards, best practices, and compliance regulations.


• Demonstrate understanding and application of Nomad Core Values.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.


• Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.


• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Professional office environment with regular interaction with guests, clients, team members, and vendors.


• Typical indoor manufacturing environment. Noise level is usually moderate. Safety glasses and closed-toe shoes are required when on the production floor.


• Everyday workwear must be business casual/smart casual and appropriate for the office environment.


• Subject to temperatures fluctuations if/when job duties require time on the production floor.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.


• 0–2 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain (internships included).


• Interest in pursuing professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
