Job Description - Sous Chef

Description

RockCreek Seafood & Spirits in Kirkland is currently seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Sous Chef. This position requires a high energy, team focused, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to run day to day kitchen operations. This individual should exhibit exceptional communication skills, a true passion to cook, the ability to talk food and concept seasonal dishes with the leadership team, and problem solving skills.

Salary Range and Benefits

  • Salary is $78,000 - $80,000 DOE.
  • Quarterly Bonus plan.
  • PTO awarded after three months, as well as the first of every year.
  • Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and the 4th of July.
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision plan election after administration period (two - three months).
  • Fringe benefit provided.
  • Meals provided.
  • Employee Assistance Program provided upon hire.
  • Weekly pay days.

Requirements

  • Ordering.
  • Light administrative responsibilities.
  • Managing food cost.
  • Managing labor cost.
  • Cleaning and maintenance.
  • Actively manage service.
  • Assist Chef de Cuisine with inventory and scheduling.

  • Passion and dedication to your craft.
  • Work ethic with high standard for integrity.
  • Ability to adapt to restaurant environment changing conditions.
  • Communicate effectively while projecting and maintaining a positive demeanor in our team-oriented environment.
  • Initiate action and achieve goals.
  • Organized, detailed and able to follow practices/procedures.
  • Able to review, understand and analyze reporting results.
  • Experience working a line in a busy restaurant.
